The covelands, made by the Dusk Princess are inhabited by mutant vegetation that indexes all stimuli. It's a murky, humid area and in its vicinity rises the Great Lighthouse, sentinel of the First Realm's borders.
To help you with the forge of essences you have two lists available. One with the formulas you have been listening to and you haven't identify yet; and other with the formulas you have already discovered and therefore, forged their respective relics.
Thanks to the first one, you will be able to quickly listen to any formula and find out its three essences on the essences list (named The Alexandria Portal in the game lore). Moreover, information about what object contained the formula and where you listened to it for the last time, is shown to you.
Thanks to the second list, you will be able to forge any relic whose formula you had already discovered without forcing you to remember it, you just solved that problem once, so we won't compel you to do it again ;).
Through meditation you will be able to extract the essences that you have listened to before. You won't have problems extracting the essences inside of material objects, however, those essences within thinking beings won't be accessible until you have earned their trust. At last, there are more complex essences made up from the combination of three elementary essences; those you won't be able to extract, but you can listen to their formula. If you identify this three essences and find places where you can extract them, then you will be able to mix them using the forge of essences to create new objects named relics.

In Therefore there are paths that we can just go across at some moments of the day, objects that we can only interact with at some hour or characters that will change their place or hide during some periods of the day. This will force us to explore several times the same scenarios at different moments. Remember that the day pass in a natural way and that unfortunately we are in the last day of existence, so it won't be a tomorrow if we don't save the First Realm. It would be impossible to achieve if it weren't for the "Memento Mori", the Wanderer's power that allow to play with the passage of time. Thanks to it, we will be able not only to back to the beginning of the day when we want, but also it will make our purpose easier allowing us to accelerate the time and go in an instant from the dawn to the midday, the dusk or the night.

But be careful, everything will return to its initial state, everything that we had changed or done during the day will be lost and the characters won't remember anything from previous attempts. Everything except the objects we had in our ethereal bag (the inventory) or inside the Eternal Vaults. Also all the essences we had extracted and had in our essences inventory. That will be the key to take shortcuts on every attempt and to get closer and closer to the final porpose, to save the First Realm.
